Submissions will be compatible with the inclusion policy of BASPCAN. They should clearly explore the relevant topic area from the perspective of different children’s experiences but with particular reference to those with disability and from minority ethnic groups. Papers should provide a clear evidence base in support of the topic addressed and wherever possible explicitly link the issues covered with their implications for practice.
PRESENTATION FORMATS
Parallel Sessions of 120 minutes
Delegates are encouraged to 'dip in' to all sessions with the exception of workshops, where the participation element means that an attendee would be expected to stay for the duration of the workshop. · Free Paper
The time allocated for oral presentations is 20 minutes for the presentation,5 minutes set-up and 5 minutes for discussion and questions.
There is likely to be 4 papers in each session. In some cases, 5 papers may be included and this may mean that the time allowed would be slightly longer (25 minutes in total).
· Workshop
The presentation length is 45-60 minutes depending on the level of interaction. The slot of 120 minutes means that participants will have opportunity to attend other sessions.
· Interactive Presentation
A display area will be provided. It is expected that the author will be present at this location during the specified presentation time to discuss the contents with the Congress participants. There will be a specific time slot for these presentations within the Congress programme. The specific slot will be 30 minutes long.
