 ABOUT THE VENUE..

Swansea, Wales’ vibrant waterfront city, is an ideal location for this, BASPCAN’s  7th National Congress.

A short distance away is Cardiff International Airport and Swansea also has its own smaller airport. The City is well served by high speed trains from London, West Wales, the Midlands and the South-West and close by is the M4 motorway for those travelling by car.

Swansea University boasts the right venue in the perfect setting. The approach to the campus gives stunning views across Swansea Bay, with the beach and rolling parkland to mark its boundaries. On campus there are hundreds of ensuite bedrooms all within 200 metres of the main catering and academic space.  The main auditorium Taliesin Theatre is superbly appointed on campus.

Swansea has numerous attractions many of which are a short walking distance from campus, including a Blue Flag marina, museums, theatres, galleries, a ruined castle and great shopping opportunities in the Quadrant and in the small streets and arcades.

The surrounding area will give you many reasons to take the opportunity to extend your time here and explore – in fact, the Gower Peninsular was declared the UK’s first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 1956!
