Emotional Abuse Research Report

Some time ago, BASPCAN ran a series of Conferences around the UK on the theme of Emotional Abuse and Emotional Neglect.

These conferences presented and discussed Department of Health funded research undertaken in Great Ormond Street Hospital and the United Medical Schools of Guy's and St Thomas's Hospitals, London.

The research had been carried out by Dr Danya Glaser, Vivien Prior and Professor Margaret Lynch.

The research report was published by BASPCAN.

'Emotional Abuse and Emotional Neglect: Antecedents, Operational Definitions and Consequences' is a soft-bound 50-page A4 publication which describes the aims of the study, sample, method and procedure used. Detailed findings of the research are presented and illustrated with the aid of tables and colour graphs. The Report concludes with a discussion of the possible implications of the findings of the research for future practice.
