This event is the first in a series of Masterclasses BASPCAN plans to hold in 2017.

Overview: A multi-disciplinary masterclass on recent legal and policy changes and child public law judicial decisions in England, which have significant implications for child protection practice. This will include key issues such as FGM, Forced marriage, Child Sexual Exploitation, radicalization and the ‘Prevent’ duty, thresholds for intervention and child participation in family law proceedings.

Cost for one-day event, including light lunch and refreshments: BASPCAN members £130, non-members £195.
Costs for one half-day session: BASPCAN members £65, non-members £100. Please contact the office if you wish to book for a half day session. Morning 10.30am-1.00pm: Afternoon session 2.00pm-4.30pm. The half day sessions include refreshments (no lunch).
Non-members attending who join BASPCAN are offered a special rate of £215 for attendance and membership for 2017. This includes subscription to Child Abuse Review throughout 2017. (This rate does nor apply to renewing members).
