Branch activity

The Branch hosts various seminars on topical themes.

The last branch event was held on Thursday 1 December 2016  at Queens University.The seminar was entitled ‘Child Protection, Children and Their Non-Resident Fathers’ led by Lee Sobo-Allen from Leeds Beckett University.

History of the Branch

This branch was established in February 2005 with a steering group meeting and an initial seminar on ‘Shaken Baby Syndrome’. The branch has close links with Queen’s University as the branch was established by Dr John Devaney and colleagues from Queen’s and the current Chair, Dr David Hayes, is based there.

Over the years the branch have held successful events, seminars and one day conferences and hosted Congress 2012, when John Devaney was Congress Convenor.
