Child Abuse Review
Submitting Articles
We are Moving to Online Submission of Papers!
We are pleased to announce that, from Monday 4th April 2011, Child Abuse Review will be adopting a web-based submission and peer review system called: ScholarOne Manuscripts. All new manuscript submissions should now be made at http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/car where authors can upload the manuscript and any other material they would like to communicate to the editor. Manuscripts previously submitted using paper-based procedures will continue through the old system.
Your manuscript will have a unique manuscript number and you can check the progress of your manuscript at any time by returning to the website above. Each page of the website has a ‘Get Help Now' icon connecting directly to the online support system. When a decision is made, revisions can be submitted online, with an opportunity to view and respond to all comments. In order to ensure that your manuscript conforms to journal style, please consult the ‘Instructions to Contributors', which is located at the back of every issue, or the ‘Author Guidelines', which can be found at http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/journal/10.1002/(ISSN)1099-0852/homepage/ForAuthors.html
We hope that authors and reviewers will find that the new system makes their lives easier and we look forward to the new system streamlining the review process, leading to rapid decision making and ensuring that the time from submission to publication is as short as possible.
If you do not have Internet access or cannot submit online, the Editorial Office will help with online submissions. Please contact the Editorial Office, by telephone, +44 (0)207 525 0012 or by e-mail, julia.walsh@southwarkpct.nhs.uk
Each issue of Child Abuse Review aims to include refereed review articles, research and practice papers, a training update, case studies, book reviews and a calendar of future events. To keep readers informed of new developments each issue will contain several 'notes' drawn from the fields of Law, Social Work, Nursing, Medicine, Psychology, Education and Forensic Science. Correspondence from readers is welcomed, and it is hoped that these letters (edited where appropriate) will form a lively feature within the journal.
The views expressed in articles in Child Abuse Review are those of the authors and are not necessarily those of BASPCAN, the Editorial Board or the Organizations to which the authors are affiliated.
If you would like to write an article, please read the instructions to authors (Word document).
