Dr Wendy Marsh is the invited speaker and her talk is entitled ‘Babies removed at birth: Narratives of Mothers and Midwives’

The afternoon commences at 1.45 until 4.00 and all are welcome. There is the small fee of £5 for BASPCAN members and £10 for non members. Please use this form to book a place and make a payment.

Branch activity

This Branch seeks to be inclusive running peer support groups and training across the wide area from Brighton and Hove to Poole. The last training event dealt with the effects of adult mental health on adolescents. New members wishing to join the committee are always welcome.

For those of you who have not had the opportunity to attend the BASPCAN national Serious Case Review events, Wendy Thorogood, Branch Chair,  plans to share some key learning as well as looking at the emotional impact of domestic abuse on families.

If anyone wishes to make a presentation on a particular topic/latest news etc please email Wendy with the details, and she will be more than happy to add you to the ‘programme’.  Please note: “..just to remind you all that there will be the facility to dial in or even provide Video link to be part of the seminar if you cannot attend in person. Due to the geography of the area covered by the branch please let us know if you would like to host an event in your area and we are more than pleased to come along and provide speakers etc.   It’s important for the Branch to increase its membership and provide training/research/events on the topics you would like to have included and to know what can influence and shape what we can do locally”.
