For experienced practitioners wishing to gain evidence of postgraduate study in Child Protection, the PG Certificate in Advanced Practice (Child Protection) at Edinburgh Napier University may be the ideal first step. Successful completion of three 20-credit modules will entitle you to this award. Study online at a time and place that suits you, with ready access to support from fellow students and lecturers experienced in child protection practice. Each module has one optional study day in Edinburgh, and is studied over a 13-week period using a range of interactive methods.

Many students choose to continue their studies beyond the PG Certificate by taking further modules to achieve a Postgraduate Diploma or an MSc, and you can also build on credit you may have achieved elsewhere. Please see: https://youtu.be/Vm_CPW2n1Fg

Students from recent modules have commented:

“I think the module has been superb and the team have been brilliant in the way the contents have been planned. I liked how we were able to see what the essay was about. I knew what I was aiming for from the very beginning.”

“I have made changes to my current approach to practice as a direct result of my learning.”

“Really good critical analysis within the module content. Challenging and thought provoking. Really enjoyed the module and it has raised my interest and confidence to undertake further learning at this level.”

“Stimulating learning environment and incorporated theory into practice and kept interest throughout.”

Our next module starts on the 8th of January 2018, and whilst the deadline for applications is not until the 8th December, we would be keen for prospective students to apply sooner rather than later.
